The mechanism
CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog. GHRH is the natural signal that tells the pituitary to release growth hormone. By mimicking that signal with a longer half-life, CJC-1295 is studied for its ability to increase the amount and duration of growth hormone pulses. Growth hormone then drives IGF-1, the hormone most associated with tissue growth.
Why it is paired with ipamorelin
CJC-1295 and ipamorelin act on two different receptors. CJC-1295 amplifies the GHRH pathway while ipamorelin, a ghrelin mimetic, triggers release through a separate channel and suppresses the effect less.
