The mechanism

CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog. GHRH is the natural signal that tells the pituitary to release growth hormone. By mimicking that signal with a longer half-life, CJC-1295 is studied for its ability to increase the amount and duration of growth hormone pulses. Growth hormone then drives IGF-1, the hormone most associated with tissue growth.

Why it is paired with ipamorelin

CJC-1295 and ipamorelin act on two different receptors. CJC-1295 amplifies the GHRH pathway while ipamorelin, a ghrelin mimetic, triggers release through a separate channel and suppresses the effect less. Realistic framing: research interest in lean mass does not equal proven muscle gain in humans. Growth hormone secretagogues produce more modest and slower changes than exogenous growth hormone, and human data is limited.
